One youth (22) drowned in Kali bein rivulet at village Daulatpur falling under Sultanpur Lodhi on Monday according to police.
The police identified the youth as Vicky resident of Daulatpur and doing the painter job in the village.
Sultanpur Lodhi DSP Sukhwinder Singh told media persons today that youth along with his uncle were strolling near banks of the rivulet on Monday when they spotted a glittering substance on the other side of the rivulet.The youth immediately jumped into the rivulet and asked his uncle to follow him but his uncle refused to jump and even advised his nephew to come back but he refused to do so.
The police said deceased was drowned in the rivulet and Distrct administration requestioned the NDRF team to locate the body of the youth .
A 19 member NDRF team pressed into service the divers to locate the body and the operation is still continuing to locate the body said DSP.
