The Deputy Commissioner Harpreet Singh Sudan passed an order to give the wheat lifting task to artiyas in 103 wheat procurement yards in district Sri Muktsar sahib including Malout, Muktsar and Bariwala Main Mandi. This will include all transportation task of lifting of wheat up to a distance of 8 km in 103 Mandis / Purchase Centers of District Sri Muktsar Sahib and this include transportation of wheat from mandi to rail head, Covered Stores and open stores.
The Deputy Commissioner clarified that the cost of lifting will be directly paid to the bank account of artiyas. He categorically rejected all rumors being spread by some people about its payment and said that this payment will be made to artiyas only. This step will enhance the daily lifting from the mandies.
He said that the transporters/truck operators/truck drivers who want to transport wheat in these markets can contact the aartiyas working in these markets or contact the respective market committee office. He said that the cost of transportation to these markets will not be paid to any transporter but to the aartiyas and the aartiys will then pay it to the person through whose vehicle they will transport the wheat to the godown.
In the same way, he said that where the distance of the mandis from the warehouse is less than 8 km, permission has been given to the artiyas to lift the wheat with tractor trolleys also. So the tractor trolley operators or the farmers who want to lift wheat with their tractor trolleys can also contact the aartiyas. In this case also the payment will be made in the bank account of the artiyas.
Sharing the list of these procurement centers, the Deputy Commissioner said that apart from the main market of Shri Muktsar Sahib, it includes Samme Wali, Mahabadar, Gandhar, Lakhmiryana, Bhangchari, Bhagsar, Chak Madrasa, Khoonan Kalan, Chibar Vali, Lakhewali, Sotha, Barkandi, Tamkot, Maharaj Wala, Bhullar, Sanghu Dhaun, Kauni, Asa Buttar, Haraj, Harike Kala, Samagh, Surewala, Khokhar, Thandhewala, Kotli Sanghar, Bhutti Wala, Vattu, Mararh Kalan, Sakanwali, Jhabelwali, Berri Wala, Malout, Sarawan Bodla, Kabarwala , Gurusar Yodha, Katianwali, Chak Udham Singh Wala, Dub Wali Dhab, Kolianwali, Bhai Ka Kera, Sham Kera, Mani Khera, Dub Wali, Rohdiya Wali, Phulu Khera, Deon Khera, Tappa Khera, Abul Khurana, Mahuana, Dhaula Kingra, Khane Ki Dhab, Kurai Wala, Aulakh, Inna Khera, Jhorar, Virak Khera, Bodiwala, Ratta Khera, Bhalerian, Alam Wala, Raniwala, Midda, Panni wala, Karm Patti, Bam, Udang, Bhiti Wala, Rodawali, Dhani Teli Wali, Kandu khera, Hakuwala, Bhullarwala, Kakhanwali, Ghumiara, Killianwali, Mithadi Budhgir, Waring Khera and Middu Khera. In all these mandis the work of lifting has been given to aartiyas.
