Vardhman Special Steels Limited on Thursday came to the aid of International Para-karate champion Tarun Sharma and handed over a cheque of Rs 1.2 lakh to his family. The same amount will be given to Sharma for four years to promote the Karate game among girls of Govt School, Khanna.
Senior manager CSR of VSSL Amit Dhawan handed over a contribution to Sharma’s brother in the Office of Avtar Singh, APO at ADC Office.
Tarun Sharma and his brother thanked DC Sakshi Sawhney and ADC Anmol Dhaliwal as it was DC ludhiana who had supported at a time he was struggling hard.
Tarun also appreciated the support of MD Sachit Jain for promoting sports when children have gone all busy with digital devices and forgot games which are essential for health well being.
Amit Dhawan also shared that Vardhman under its CSR initiative has come forward to support Tarun to promote sports under the project Khel protsahan to teach karate to girls in Government School Khanna.
