Regarding the recent controversy that arose after Instagram influencer Archana Makwana from Gujarat performed yoga at Golden Temple Jathedar Singh Sahib of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh who reached Akal Takht today said Golden Temple along with other religious sites, are centers of faith, not picnic spots. Therefore, the dignity of these religious sites should be maintained.
Instagram influencer Archana Makwana found herself at the center of backlash after she performed yoga on the premises of the Golden Temple, Amritsar.
After her post on the social media platform went viral, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) on Saturday filed a police complaint against Makwana for allegedly hurting the sentiments of the Sikh community.
Amritsar, Punjab: Regarding the recent controversy that arose after a girl from Gujarat performed yoga at Shri Harmandir Sahib, Giani Harpreet Singh says, “Shri Harmandir Sahib, along with other religious sites, are centers of faith, not picnic spots. Therefore, the dignity of these religious sites should be maintained”.
