BJP candidate from Sri Anandpur Sahib, Dr. Subhash Sharma, today targeted the Aam Aadmi Party over the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab. Addressing various public meetings at Sri Anandpur Sahib during the election campaign, Dr. Sharma said that during the tenure of Aam Aadmi Party, the law and order situation in the entire state has completely collapsed. He said that incidents of murders, robberies, extortion and gang wars have become a routine in the state. Dr. Sharma said that after AAP came to power, incidents of murders of renowned singer Sidhu Moosewala, Kabaddi player Sandeep Singh “Nangal Ambiyan” have come to light.
“If we talk about Sri Anandpur Sahib Constituency, the incidents happening here force us to think that we are living in ‘jungle raaj’. The murder of VHP leader Vikas Bagga in Nangal in broad daylight one month back is proof that law and order is zero in this Lok Sabha Constituency”, Dr. Sharma pointed out.
Dr. Sharma further said that both the accused arrested in the murder of Vikas Bagga had revealed that Vikas was murdered at the behest of Pakistan and it was also funded by foreign handlers based in Portugal. “These facts confirm that there are many weaknesses in the law and order system in Punjab and conspirators sitting abroad are taking advantage of these shortcomings. The Punjab government has completely failed to prevent such incidents”, he added.
Dr. Sharma also said that once UP was considered infamous for incidents of crime but today the Yogi government has wiped out crime from the state and established good governance there. Taking a jibe at the Punjab CM, Dr. Sharma suggested Bhagwant Mann to take training from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Dr. Sharma while informing that PM Modi is coming on a two-day visit to Punjab this week, said, “PM rallies will bring a new dawn of good governance in Punjab and the duo of Yogi and Modi will infuse new energy among the entire Punjabis. Modi’s rallies are being eagerly awaited by every Punjabi, as they are desperate to see their popular leader among them”, he asserted.
Meanwhile, on Monday, BJP candidate Dr. Subhash Sharma campaigned in Una, Mindwan, Jhinjri, Kahiwal, Baloli, Bharatgarh, Sri Anandpur Sahib, Bhanupali, Brahmpur, Gohlani, Nangran, Naya Nangal etc. and a large number of people turned up in every public meeting. Slogans of “Anandpur Sahib Ki Aas, Sada Subhash” were reverberating in the public meetings.
