Chandigarh, November 25

Keeping the momentum on for the development of the state’s infrastructure landscape, the Haryana Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal, has accorded administrative approval for the construction of a Road Under Bridge (RUB) at Level Crossing No. 576 on the Delhi Mathura Railway line, spanning Delhi Mathura Road to Mujesar at an estimated cost of Rs. 50.72 crore in Faridabad District.

Giving more information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that a comprehensive inspection conducted by the Haryana State Roads and Bridges Development Corporation (HSRDC) and Northern Railway officers had revealed that due to land constraints and the reluctance of private landowners to sell, the construction of an ROB was not feasible.

Consequently, a decision was made to instead proceed with the construction of a Road Under Bridge (RUB).

He informed that the General Arrangement Drawing (GAD) for the RUB has been approved by Northern Railways, and the purchase of additional land required for the project has undergone meticulous scrutiny.

The High Powered Land Purchase Committee (HPLPC) successfully concluded negotiations with all stakeholders and landowners, finalizing the acquisition of 0.96 acres of land. With a Traffic Volume Units (TVUs) exceeding 1 lac, the 50:50 cost-sharing agreement between the State Government and Railways became applicable.

He further stated that the estimated cost for the construction of the RUB, as submitted by HSRDC Gurugram through the Haryana Engineering Works Portal (HEWP), stands at Rs. 50.72 crore.

This includes expenses related to land acquisition, construction, and associated project costs.

The administrative approval granted by Chief Minister Manohar Lal underscores the commitment of the Haryana Government to enhance infrastructure and address transportation challenges, ensuring the well-being and convenience of the citizens of Faridabad District.
