Employees Cricket League enters day 5, T20 organised by Punjab Secretariat Cricket Club Chandigarh

On fifth Day of the Employees Cricket League Season 1 (T20) organized by Punjab Secretariat Cricket Club, Chandigarh in association with Pritika Group of Industries and Mohali Auto Industries, Match No. 14, 15, 16 and 17 were played.
Match No. 14 was played between AG, Chandigarh vs PSCC at Kandala Cricket Ground, Mohali. In which AG Chd won the toss and scored 115 runs opting to bat first. In reply, Kamal Amarinder of PSCC played an explosive  62 runs knock and the team managed to achieve the target easily in 16 overs. Kamal Amarinder was given the man of the match award.
Match No  15 was played between High Court Warriors vs Commissioner XI at Mahajan Cricket Ground, Chandigarh. Commissioner XI won the toss and decided to bat. Amit Parashar and Navjot Singh shared a partnership of 75 runs for the first wicket and took their team to a decent  total of  150 to defend in a slow wicket. Gurdeep Rana bowled brilliantly from HC warrior and took 4 wickets at crucial times. In response,  HC Warriors had a poor start losing their openers out without opening their account. But Prince Pandey’s 30 runs, the team could reach the score of 134 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 16 runs. Navjot Singh of Commissioner’s XI was given the man of the match award for scoring 50 runs and taking 02 wickets.
Match No. 16 was played between the teams of Medical College Patiala and MoH XI at Bajwa Cricket Ground, Mohali. MoH XI won the toss and batted first, but failed to stay on the wicket for long. The whole team could score only 97 runs.  Medical College Patiala chased this target in 16 overs with 4 wickets to spare. Dr. Mohit was given the man of the match award for contributing 22 runs and taking 3 wickets.
In match number 17, teams of High Court Chandigarh and Police Favorites met at Kandala Cricket Ground, Mohali. After winning the toss, HC Chandigarh had a bad start, 03 players of the team failed to open their account. The team could only score 118 runs in 20 overs. The police favourite team completed this target with 19 balls to spare. Krishna Malik of the police team was given the man of the match award.
The Doctor Consultancy, Health Max Super Specialty Hospital Mohali and Radisson Biotech, the partners for conducting the Employee Cricket League, were honored for encouraging the players who showed good performance. Janak Singh, Patron of the Secretariat Club was present on this occasion.
