In a significant stride towards gender empowerment and technological innovation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the Nation today launched Pradhan Mantri Mahila Kisan Drone Kendra, which he positively termed as NaMo Drone Didi programme.
Meanwhile, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal who along with the State Cabinet Ministers and other dignitaries also listened to the Prime Minister’s address, also formally launched the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra from the village of Billouch in Faridabad during a state-level programme organized in the village of Billouch.
Transport Minister, Mool Chand Sharma, MLAs, Narender Gupta, Nayan Pal Rawat, Seema Trikha also remained present during the programme.
Notably, during the programme, the Prime Minister also dedicated the landmark 10,000th Jan Aushadi Kendra at AIIMS, Deoghar. The journey of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra commenced on November 15.
Addressing the Nation, the Prime Minister stated that affordable medicines would be available to the poor through Jan Aushadhi Centers. The primary goal of Jan Aushadhi Centers is good medicine and good service. The number of Jan Aushadhi Centers will be increased to 25,000 in the future.
He said that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is completing 15 days today and has now picked up pace. Noting the affection and participation of the people that has led to a change in the nomenclature of the VBSY van from ‘Vikas Rath’ to ‘Modi Ki Guarantee vehicle’, the Prime Minister thanked the citizens for their trust in the government. He also interacted with the beneficiaries of various welfare schemes.

With this launch, the state became the epicenter of this pioneering initiative started under the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, witnessing the historic moment when women took to the skies to demonstrate their drone flying skills.
In his address, Manohar Lal emphasized the significance of this program in fostering women’s empowerment, not only symbolically but also practically. He said that the drones initially showcased in Billouch, are not just a spectacle; they represent a paradigm shift in agricultural practices.
“Now, women will also use drones for agricultural purposes, and it will be an example of women empowerment. This marks a crucial step towards sustainable and technologically advanced farming practices, with women at the forefront,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.
CM administers Viksit Bharat Sankalp oath
During the event, the Chief Minister also administered the Viksit Bharat Sankalp oath to the dignitaries and the people present during the programme. He also visited exhibitions displaying products produced by women Self-Help Groups and praised their efforts. A short film related to the achievements of the state government was also screened.
The Chief Minister said that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has been linked with the Jan-Samvad program in Haryana. It commenced today from Billoch village in the Faridabad district. The main objective of this program is to disseminate information about the achievements of the central and state governments to the public.

The Chief Minister stated that through self-help groups, women are not only becoming self-reliant but are also providing employment to other women. There are approximately 40,000 Self-Help Groups (SGHs) in the state, with a minimum of 10 women members in each group who produce quality products through their skills.
The state government is providing loans ranging from Rs. 50,000 to Rs.3 lakh to these SGHs. Many SGHs have grown into small industries, making a significant contribution to strengthening the rural economy. Women farmers showcased drone flying skills during the program, enabling them to use drones for fertilizer distribution in agriculture, thereby empowering women, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Departments set up special counters to provide online services
During the programme, various departments set up special counters during the program to provide online services. Rectification in old-age pensions, ration cards, and PPP cards were corrected on the spot. The Chief Minister distributed the Old Age Pension certificates to seven individuals during the program.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also honored Commando Surender Chaudhary, who saved the lives of hundreds of people during the terrorist attacks in Mumbai’s Taj Hotel on November 26, 2011. Farmers, athletes, and meritorious students were also honored.
The Chief Minister also directed the officers to prepare estimates for the construction of the building for the government girls’ school in Billoch village.
Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Director General, Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture Department, Dr. Amit Agrawal, Media Adviser to the Chief Minister, Rajeev Jaitly, Deputy Commissioner, Faridabad, Vikram Singh and others also remained present on this occasion.
