Chandigarh, March 19
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday visited the bereaved family of Constable Amritpal Singh who died during a police raid in Mansoorpur village, Hoshiarpur.
“Reached the house of constable Amritpal Singh of Mukerian who was martyred during the encounter with the gangster and shared his grief with the family. Shaheed Jawan performed his duty while on duty… now it is our moral duty to take care of the family… which we are fully committed to fulfill at all times,” CM Mann wrote on social media.
While interacting with the media, CM announced that a stadium would be built in memory of the martyred constable, and apart from this, whatever the family or village Panchayat demands, will be provided.
