On Saturday, Simranjit Singh Mann , MP and SAD(Amritsar) visited Mansurwal village to support the protesters sitting on dharna since July 24 for closure of Malbros Liquor Factory, which is alleged to be polluting the underground water and environment of the area.
Members on the panel of committees by Sanjha Morcha have refused to join the investigation and all supporters only demand is now the permanent closure of the factory. It has now become a big challenge for the government to deal with the protesters. Numbers of leaders are now visiting Mansurwal to support the protesters sitting on dharna.
Mann said, the demand of the protesters was genuine being producing poison and the factory should be closed. He said that if the people of the area do not accept the liquor factory, then why is the government adamant about its decision. The government should pay attention to the problems of the people and take a decision to close down the factory.
