Today, the four committees were formed by the Punjab government to resolve the issue of liquor factory (Malboros International Private Limited) visited at village Mansoorwal Kalan of Zira, without any response from the members from the village.
These committees include the Punjab Pollution Control Board for the investigation of water pollution, the Punjab Agricultural University for the investigation of soil and crops, the Health Department for the investigation of increasing cases of cancer, hepatitis B and other diseases in the villages and the health department for the investigation of animal diseases. He further informed that the said teams will visit the villages continuously in the next few days and interact with the people and also more necessary samples will be taken. He said that after collecting all the information, the compilation report will be submitted to the government and further action will be taken as per the guidelines of the government.
