Wearing of seat belts on rear seat in car compulsory, will invite fines if not complied : Nitin Gadkari 

New Delhi, September 7

Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that wearing of seat belts while sitting on rear seat in car is compulsory and if not complied, it will invite fine. He said that motive of imposing fine is to inspire people to wear seat belts in rear seat also.

He said that if travelers sitting on rear seat will not wear seat belt, then alarm will ring in the car. His comments have after businessman Cyrus Mistry lost his life in a car accident while sitting on rear seat.

It must also be remembered that famour star Jaspal Bhatti had also lost his life in a accident few years while sitting in rear seat.
