Vit te Yojna Bhavan employees celebrate Teej- Sukhjit Kaur adjudged Miss Teej

Teej, the Punjabi Festival dedicated to Women, was celebrated by the women employees of Vit Te Yojna Bhawan, Sector 33, Chandigarh with full fervor and zest. The employees participated in the event enthusiastically, donning traditional attires and vibrant colors. A Punjabi cultural corner was also set up, featuring a variety of stalls selling bangles, jewelry, cosmetics, and mehndi, adding a vibrant touch to the occasion.

Highlights of the event included Punjabi dance, folk singing, giddha, tappey, and a fashion show. A kids’ corner was also available, where children enjoyed drawing and coloring activities.

Fashion Show

A fashion show competition was organized to showcase Punjabi culture, featuring various rounds.

Simarjeet Kaur, Additional Director, Treasury and Accounts branch and Shivani, ACF&A served as the judges for the event.

Sukhjit Kaur was judged as Miss Teej, whereas Jaspreet Kaur and Harman were Runners-up.

Speaking on the occasion Simarjeet Kaur, Additional Director appreciated the efforts of the organisers. She stated that the festival of Teej is a symbol of our cultural heritage and emphasized that celebrating such festivals not only provides joy but also helps in reviving and keeping alive traditions and customs that are gradually getting vanished.

Hardeep Kaur, Ranjeet Kaur, Monika, Sarita and Imninder Kaur being organisers of this event, thanked all the participants by giving return gifts to all.
