Ludhiana, April 7
Vardhman Special Steels Limited (VSSL) on Friday handed over the keys of two e-rickshaws to Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Anmol Singh Dhaliwal under Nari Shakti project, a CSR initiative for women’s empowerment.
The initiative aims to empower women by making them self-dependent and helping them to earn a sustainable livelihood to support their families and contribute to household incomes.
The e-rickshaws will be given to members of women’s self-help groups through a lottery system on a rotation basis, enabling them to sell their commodities with ease.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Anmol Singh Dhaliwal thanked the management of VSSL vice-chairman Sachit Jain and executive director Soumaya Jain for supporting such noble projects for women’s empowerment.
Prominent among present on the occasion included VSSL executive director RK Rewari and Senior Manager Amit Dhawan, Project officer ADC RD office Avtar Singh and Harnek Singh
