Unrest prevails among the parents on the safety and security of their children who have gone to Canada on a study visa and anxiety prevails among the aged parents whose children have become Canadian citizens on the recent strained relations between India and Canada .
Indian Government today suspended visa services to Canadian citizens .
Madan Lal Sharma aged 75 and his wife both local resident and are Permanent residents of Canada returned to India five days ago told PTI that both children Atul Sharma and Amit Sharma are Canadian citizens are planning to come to India to attend a function but with the suspension of visa services now they would not able to come to India . The couple seemingly worried expressed the hope that both nations should settle the issue amicably in the interest of their countrymen.
A 38 year old professional Arshpal Singh and his wife are going to Canada on a work permit and booked their air tickets for October 12 flight are little worried about their future plans as both the couple resigned their jobs to settle in Canada.However they are optimistic that this problem will end soon.
A Local Immigration and Visa services consultancy services Managing Director Inderpal Singh told PTI that he had received phone calls from 8-9 Canadian citizens today who are coming to India to attend marriages in the month of November this year have cancelled their hotel bookings and tickets due to strained relations between two countries .He said it would adversely affect their business of visas and tickets.
Rishipal a local shopkeeper is worried about the security his girl child who had gone to Canada 8 months ago on a study visa and said he could not talk to his daughter today as she did not pick up his phone to know her well being.
