Punjab Revenue Minister Bram Shankar Jimpa and Sports Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer met in Chandigarh with UK MP Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi, who was accompanied by his uncle Paramjit Singh Raipur (SGPC Member, Adampur) and his son Jugaad Singh Dhesi. Jagroop Singh Sekhwan (General Secretary, AAP), Chairman Gurdev Singh and other senior government persons were also present.
Sports Minister Hayer spoke about the various initiatives he is undertaking to increase sports participation amongst Punjabis, including incentivising top sportsmen and women. MP Dhesi, who for the last decade has been President of Gatka Federation UK, requested that extra efforts be made to uplift Gatka, as well as the much-loved Punjabi sport Kabaddi.
