Chandigarh, June 10
The Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is continuously making efforts to improve the standard of living for children, women, minor girls, and the elderly in the state.
To achieve this objective, Dr. Baljit Kaur, the Minister of Social Security, Women and Child Development, stated that the nutrition tracker application is being implemented in Anganwadi centres by the department under the Poshan Abhiyan.
The aim is to enhance the efficiency of Anganwadi centres in the state so that their activities can be monitored at the block, district, state, and national levels, ensuring transparent delivery of services to beneficiaries.
Providing further information, Dr. Baljit Kaur, the Minister of Social Security, Women and Child Development, explained that the Potion Tracker is a beneficiary-centric service delivery application that provides real-time data and analytics.
The department has issued instructions to implement this application in 27,314 Anganwadi centres across the state from June 1, 2023. As part of this initiative, each Anganwadi worker will receive an annual data charge of Rs. 2000.
