Ferozepur, January 18
The cooperation of the press and the administration is very important for the progress, development of the district, elimination of social problems and maintaining the law and order situation, said Rajesh Dhiman, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur during the first meeting the journalists of the district in his office.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner, Rajesh Dhiman addressing the journalists said that journalists are the fourth pillar of the country’s democracy and the media has an important role in preventing corruption and establishing a strong democracy. He appealed to the entire journalist community to cooperate in the overall development of the district and curb illegal activities.
He asked the journalists that if they get information about the sale/purchase of China Dor or any other illegal activity, they should immediately bring it to the notice of the police administration so that appropriate legal action can be taken against them.
Earlier, the journalist community welcomed Deputy Commissioner Dhiman and assured that for the progress and development of the district, the journalists will give constructive support to the district administration as hitherto. On this occasion, District Public Relations Officer Amrik Singh also introduced the journalists representing various media houses to the Deputy Commissioner and told that the entire press is cooperating well with the district administration and the Punjab government.
