SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal has threatened to file a defamation suit against Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over his statement on former CM Parkash Singh Badal’s pension.
“@BhagwantMann peddling lies by claiming S Parkash Singh Badal took a pension of lakhs as an ex-MLA. Badal Sahab refused to pension & asked GOP to spend proceeds on Edu of the girl child. CM should either produce a record to substantiate claims or apologize or be ready for a defamation suit,” Sukhbir tweeted.

He was responding to the statement made by CM Mann during a press conference reportedly in poll-bound Gujarat.
CM Mann said that the AAP government in Punjab has stopped the pension of former MLAs for were taking Rs 5 lakh per month pension.
Mann also mentioned Parkash Singh Badal and said that Badal who has been MLA eight times also took a pension.
