A meeting was held with – Knit and Fab Hosiery trade association by a team of State Tax Officers, Sunil Goel and STO Ashok Kumar, from the office of ACST Ludhiana 3, on the directions of the Taxation Commissioner Punjab K K Yadav. Shinee Singh, Assistant Commissioner State Tax (ACST) Ludhiana-3 informed that as per the instructions of Cabinet Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, the dealers were sensitised regarding the recent changes in tax rates implemented on July 18, 2022 after the 47th GST Council Meeting held in the month of June 2022. They were familiarized with the new changes being implemented in terms of filing of returns, e-invoicing and compliance regarding the taxation system. They were encouraged to follow best practices regarding tax payment and return filing compliance. The technical and other issues being faced by the sector were analysed and looked into and speedy disposal at the end of the department was ensured. It is a dealer-friendly approach of the department ensuring ease of doing business for the problem solving of the dealers.
