Ludhiana, December 6
Under the directions of the respected Taxation Commissioner K K Yadav IAS and DCST Randhir Kaur Aujla, in the heart of Ghumar Mandi, Chaudhary Crockery House was inspected by State GST department, Ludhiana 3 today.
Senior officials from State GST department informed that the inspection was planned based on the tax paid on the lower side, comparing with the turnover of the dealer. It has been a case of tax evasion. Documents have been impounded and further investigations is being carried out by the department.
Another case of inspection been carried out on Patiala Shahi Veg Soup, it turned out that the dealer was engaged in selling soups at Dandi Swami Road, Model Town and Kailash Cinema Road. The dealer has been registered by the department and a message has been sent to the market, to encourage registration.
In an inspection on Brightway Visa Consultants Private Ltd, the dealer has been inspected and denied cancellation status, as the firm was found to be working.
The proceedings are taken up the department authorities. The department has been rigoursly working on enhancing the registration of the firms, to increase the dealer base and to bring the tax evaders in the tax net as well.
