Punjab Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Labour, Investment Promotion and Grievance Redressal Minister Anmol Gagan Mann today installed the statue of Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh in the Chowk near the committee office at village Nawan Gaon of Halka Kharar. She said that from today this Chowk will be known as Bhagat Singh Chowk. After installing the statue of Shaheed-e-Azam, She said that keeping in mind the problems of the people, a Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) will soon be constructed by the state government in village Naya Gaon. Earlier, the Cabinet Minister was warmly welcomed by a huge gathering on reaching Naya Gaon.
Addressing the public gathering, the Cabinet Minister said that our heroes like Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh will always live in our thoughts. She said that it is our responsibility to take their thinking and history to our new generation. She said that Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh, by disapproving of slavery, laughingly kissed the hanging rope for the freedom of the people of the country and gave priority to dying and sacrificing for the country. His sacrifice for the country will always be remembered
She said that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is committed to provide basic facilities, clean environment, fair and transparent administration to the people of the state. She said that keeping in mind the problems of the people in Naya Gaon, a Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) will soon be constructed here by the state government. On this occasion, she gave instructions to the administrative officials to quickly solve the daily problems being faced by the people. She said that every promise made by the government to the people will be fulfilled. She said that the state government is continuously striving for the all-round development of the people.
This program was organized by Naya Graon-Mulanpur-Majri Press Club. On this occasion Nawan Graon President Nagar Council Bibi Balwinder Kaur Mand, Nawan Graon Executive Officer Ashok Kumar and Press Club Chairman Tarsem Lal Sharman, President J.K.
