While presiding over the meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring (DISHA) Committee at the meeting hall of the District Administrative Complex, the Committee Chairman and Member Parliament from Sangrur Simranjit Singh Mann reviewed the progress of centrally sponsored schemes being run by the Government of India and issued guidelines to the officers of various departments. He said that the grants received from time to time should be used in a transparent manner for implementation of various schemes. After reviewing the schemes, the Lok Sabha member expressed his satisfaction on the ongoing development works in the constituency. Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal was also present during the meeting.
While conducting the proceedings of the meeting, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Varjit Walia issued instructions to the officials of the concerned departments to provide information about the development works going on in the district under the centrally sponsored schemes. Mann reviewed the PWD, Central Works Division Sangrur, Punjab Mandi Board Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Water Supply and Sanitation, Soil Conservation Department, District Social Security Department, Animal Husbandry Department, Fisheries, Agriculture, District Education Department (Elementary) and (Secondary), MGNREGA, Livelihood, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, District Welfare Department, Punjab Skill Development Mission, Health Department, RSETI scheme, horticulture and the progress of implementation of other central government schemes.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal gave information about the successful implementation of the flagship programs of the Punjab government for the convenience of the people in the district. During the meeting Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Anmol Singh Dhaliwal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Latif Ahmed, SDM Sangrur Navreet Kaur Sekhon, SDM Sunam Jaspreet Singh, SDM Dhuri Amit Gupta, SDM Dirba Rajesh Sharma, SDM Bhawanigarh Vaneet Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Devdarshdeep Singh, Assistant Commissioner (Under Training) Nitesh Kumar Jain, Forest Division Officer Monika Yadav, District Revenue Officer Gagandeep Singh, Civil Surgeon Dr. Parminder Kaur and officials of other departments were also present.
