Patiala, May 25

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from the Patiala Lok Sabha seat, Preneet Kaur, on Friday said that the people of Samana will play an important role in creating a bright future for Patiala on June 1, the day of Lok Sabha elections in Punjab.

The people of Samana assured Preneet Kaur of victory on Friday when she reached Tehsil Road to address an election rally. Expressing gratitude towards the people of Patiala, including Samana, for making the Fateh Rally of Patiala a success, Preneet Kaur said that she knows that she has created a great bond with the people of Samana as she has received a lot of love and respect.

She said that Lok Sabha elections are not ordinary elections because these elections will decide the future of the country, state, and Patiala. Preneet Kaur added, “If we want to make the future of our children bright, then it is important that we all vote for BJP in this Lok Sabha election.

While addressing the Samana residents, Preneet Kaur said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, new houses have been built at a cost of Rs 27 crore for over 2 lakh people of Punjab. “Everyone must question those who make any promise to the people of Patiala that they should first gain power at the Center and then come among the people and make a promise with them because it requires a synergy among the Centre to bring development in the constituencies and the state. PM Modi-led BJP government has given a lot of things to the people, including more than 13 lakh gas connections under Pradhan Mantri Ujwala Yojana, training to over 5 lakh youngsters under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, free ration to 1.41 crore people under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana, construction of more than 5 lakh toilets under Swachh Bharat Mission, Smart City Mission,” she said.

Adding, Preneet Kaur said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has guaranteed to provide funds worth thousands of crores to Amritsar, Jalandhar, and Ludhiana. Preneet Kaur said that PM Narendra Modi, who has spent Rs 8,390 crore for the development of 13,390 villages, could not announce any kind of development package at the Fateh rally in Patiala due to the election code of conduct. However, she has assured that the Lok Sabha elections will become the basis for the 2027 assembly elections in Punjab. “Only if the BJP party forms government in Punjab will the state be able to develop at full pace,” she added.

On being asked about farmers in the public meeting in Samana, Preneet Kaur said that in the last 10 years, the PM Modi-led government has increased the MSP by 1.5 to 2.5 times, increased the agriculture budget by five times, entire crop of wheat and paddy were procured on time, and Rs 2 crore 47 lakh were released to 728 farmers for soil quality testing besides the Modi government also transferred Rs 30,000 into the account of every farmer of Punjab in the last five years.

Preneet Kaur further said that those who claim to provide high health facilities to the people by opening Mohalla clinics for their advertisements probably do not know that high health facilities could have been made available in the multispeciality government Rajindra Hospital worth Rs 150 crore and not in the Mohalla clinic. She also said that she brought a health package of Rs 150 crore from the Center for high-level health facilities, while the present government in Punjab failed to provide high-level doctors to this hospital. “Today, despite having all the health facilities in Patiala, people have to go to other states for the treatment of any serious diseases,” she said.

Apart from a large number of BJP workers, BJP Patiala Rural President Harmesh Goyal, Gurpal Singh Sandhu, Amarinder Singh Dhot, Surinder Singh Khodki, Parikshat Pathak from BJP Yuva Morcha, Sanjeev Sharma Shanki, and a large number of local residents were present in the public meeting.
