District Administration, Rupnagar today launched first of its kind Sakhi-One Stop Center and portal/Mob application intended to support the women who have been victims of gender-based violence.
Giving details Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar Dr. Preeti Yadav said that to provide immediate help to aggrieved women in the district, app/portal has been launched.
This initiative is a catalyst for solving the violence against women where suffering women can file a complaint through the online app/portal to get help.
It also provides various other services to the victimized women under one roof such as psycho-social counseling, police assistance, medical assistance, legal assistance and temporary shelter up to a maximum of 5 days.
Divulging more about this, Dr. Preeti Yadav said that all complaints received on this application/portal will be directly monitored by the District Administration and Sakhi One Stop Center.
After that, necessary action will be taken by the concerned departments in the stipulated time.
She said that this app will soon be made available on play store for android phones and link of this portal is https://sakhiapp.punjab.gov.in.
The app is also available on the district website rupnagar.nic.in.
