To further speed up the construction work to ease the woes of local residents and commuters, Public Works Minister Punjab Harbhajan Singh ETO will preside over the next meeting regarding the progress of Nangal Flyover on June 14, 2023.
Chairing a weekly review meeting regarding the progress of work of Nangal Flyover at the Punjab Civil Secretariat today, Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains reiterated that the pending work of the flyover would be constructed soon and directions in this regard has been issued to the concerned departments to speed up the work.
The meeting was attended by Indian Railways, Public Works Department Punjab, Bhakra Beas Management Board, Municipal Council Nangal, local administration officials and officials of the construction company.
Railway officials assured the Cabinet Minister that all approvals regarding the construction of Nangal Flyover will be given on a priority basis in the coming weeks.
During the meeting, the Cabinet Minister warned the officials of the construction company that if they don’t complete the work under the prescribed time in the construction of the flyover, the state government will write a letter to the Indian railway against them for violating the norms and blacklisting the company.
During the meeting, Bains directed the Municipal Council Nangal and BBMB officials to repair the roads of Nangal city immediately.
