The 25th edition of CII Chandigarh Fair 2022, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)’s flagship event, kickstarted with fervor at Parade Ground, Sector 17, today with huge fanfare. Banwarilal Purohit, Governor, Punjab & Administrator, UT Chandigarh inaugurated the four-day fair today.
He also extended his best wishes to the visitors for the blissful festive season and took a round of the exhibition and visited various stalls. Governor interacted with small business owners who had set up stalls of dry fruits, frozen foods, carpets, etc.
He also took a walk around the auto exhibit which showcased 16 auto brands at the Fair.
Governor also visited the special display of medicinal saplings, put up by CII-Indian Women Network Chandigarh Chapter to promote awareness of health and wellness through locally available herbs and plants.
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has been organising its flagship B2C Exhibition, the CII Chandigarh Fair annually on the eve of the festive season but was paused briefly due to the pandemic.
Back due to the overwhelming response from tricity residents and the astounding success of the last editions, CII Chandigarh Fair has presented high-volume business growth for companies and has become one of the most sought-after trade events in Northern India.
The fair has become an inevitable business & promotion platform for wholesalers, retailers, importers and exporters, manufacturers, and representatives from various trade and non-governmental organization, especially small businesses and artisans who wish to display their crafts for the public.
Living up to its legacy of bringing in the best deals in consumer goods, the 25th CII Chandigarh Fair presents home décor, automobiles, handicrafts, electronics, fashion apparel, healthcare, and finance, in 10 concurrent expos, all under one umbrella at the most perfect time of the year.

Highlighting the importance of the Fair, Amit Thapar, Chairman, CII Punjab shared, “CII Chandigarh Fair 2022 has been ensuring a massive platform of visibility and networking for the brands providing them with a direct interface to connect, collaborate and create strong business relations and recurring sales. Our aim is to provide a boost to MSMEs and help expand their area of reach so that they get an opportunity to explore different markets across the region.”
The 25th edition of the Fair attracted huge crowds from the region on Day one, reinforcing the expo’s position as a proven and trusted shopping hub. Going by the initial feedback from the visitors at the Fair, around 94 percent have rated the exhibition as Excellent or Good.
Further, 94 percent of the visitors on day 1 have also expressed their desire to visit the fair in the next edition as well. The Fair is being held from Friday, 14th October to Monday, 17th October. The timings will be 10 am to 8 pm on all four days.
