The Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Banwarilal Purohit extended warm greetings to the people of Punjab and Chandigarh on the eve of joyous festival of Holi.
In his message, the Governor said that the festival of Holi inspires us to fight against unrighteousness, falsehood and injustice. He said that this festival marks the advent of spring and also brings together people, in its spirit of mutual love and harmony, forgetting all distinctions of caste, creed and religion.
Sh. Purohit said, “Let us maintain the sanctity and dignity of the festival and celebrate it with traditional fervor and gaiety in a safe, eco-friendly manner”.
