Punjab Chief Secretary reviews implementation of Mera Ghar Mere Naam Scheme

Chief Secretary Vijay Kumar Janjua on Friday asked the officers to ensure that the work under Mera Ghar Mere Naam Scheme in the State is completed at the earliest.

During the meeting, the Chief Secretary was briefed about the progress of the scheme. He was apprised drone mapping has been completed in more than 4200 villages of the State and the work is going on in full swing in the remaining ones.

The Chief Secretary while reviewing the activities to be covered under the scheme, said that DGPS device may be used in all districts for laal lakeer demarcation to expedite the work. He directed Department of Rural Development and Panchayats to release the funds for DGPS to the districts. He said that no stone must be left unturned for completing this work on mission mode.

On highlighting the problem of honorarium to Survey officers, it was decided to increase the honorarium of Survey Officers from the funds of Punjab Land Record Society (PLRS). He directed the PLRS to maintain the soft copy of records generated during implementation of scheme. Likewise, he said that the hard copy of the record generated during scheme will remain under the concerned Patwari.

Prominent amongst others present on the occasion included Financial Commisoner Revenue KAP Sinha, Principal Secretary Finance AK Sinha, Director Information and Public Relations Sonali Giri, Director Rural Development and Panchayats Gurpreet Singh Khaira and others.
