Chandigarh, December 12
Punjab Cabinet has decided to recruit 1800 Constables and 300 Sub Inspectors in Punjab Police every year. The recruitment will be done in a transparent manner.
The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. “ In Punjab, various posts of NCC have been lying vacant. We have decided to fill 203 posts immediately. The recruitment has not taken place in past five to six years,” said the Finance Minister. In addition, the Cabinet had also decided to fill 710 posts of revenue patwaris.
