Punjab BJP leaders face water canons in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, March 9

BJP Punjab on Thursday staged a massive protest outside their office here at Sector 37 against the law and order situation in the state.

The plan of the party leaders led by Ashwani Sharma was to gherao the Punjab Vidhan Sabha.

During the protest, water cannon were used on the BJP leaders. The party leaders including BJP president Ashwani Sharma were later detained by Chandigarh Police in a bus.
