Probe being carried out impartially, will not leave any loose ends, says DIG Gurpreet Singh Bhullar on CU video row

While briefing on the ongoing probe in Chandigarh University’s viral video case, Ropar DIG Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that the SIT constituted will not leave any loose ends in the investigation and that the probe is being carried out in a transparent manner.

“We have arrested all the three accused who are now in seven days police remand. The SIT has been formed under the supervision of senior IPS officer Gurpreet Kaur Deo to thoroughly probe the matter. Today, SIT has also checked the apprehension of the girl’s students of bugging. The hostel warden was called for questioning as part of investigation. Apart from this, we have sent the important piece of evidence which are mobile phones to the state cyber cell. The mobile phones of all three accused have been sent to the State Cyber cell. We are also checking if there are more videos. Everything will be thoroughly investigated. SIT will not leave any loose ends.

“Our forensic expert Dr. Kalia also visited the scene of the crime since there were apprehensions to check the washrooms. The forensic team will soon provide their report. We are now waiting for report of the cyber cell. If anyone has the inputs to share, they are welcome to share it with out team. There are also complaints of some students regarding foreign numbers. We are probing on who is spreading such rumours,” he added.
