Pratibha Free -Sewing School has been established by Mayank Foundation with the support of Santosh Sewa Kunj with the aim of empowering women with hand skills.
Rakesh Kumar, Secretary informed that in the first batch, 20 women will be made self-reliant by giving them free training in sewing and cutting clothes. The main objective of the project is to make women stand on their own feet so that they could become self-employed by learning tailoring.
District Program Officers Ratandeep Kaur and Surinder Kaur had special cooperation in the selection of women. In this event, everything from machines to clothes and other materials will be made available free of cost to the women by Santosh Seva Kunj.
The members said that in the coming time, other projects will also be run for the welfare of mother power. Women will be given tailoring coaching by trainer Bharti Wadhawan.
It is worth mentioning that Mayank Foundation has also arranged free classes for poor girls in Santosh Seva Kunj, in which 30 matriculation girl students took education in the first batch.
