Kapurthala police today arrested five gangsters involved in the blind murder of an aged NRI at village Dayalpur on the night of Nov.30.
Addressing a press conference here today, Senior Superintendent of Police Vatsala Gupta identified the gangsters as Sahil,Mintu,Bhupinder,Neeraj and Karan all residents of village Dayalpur falling in kapurthla.
Police said all the gangsters who are drug addicts were involved in criminal activities of looting and murders conspired to loot the house of NRI Balwant Singh(70) who was living alone in his house at village Dayal pur when they failed to loot the another house in the village .SSP said they brutally murdered the NRI with sharp edged weapons and looted the house of its belongings.
Gupta said accused Sahil was involved in nine criminal cases including attempt to murders and several looting incidents and was on bail
