Kapurthala police today arrested five gangsters with with arms , ammunition and vehicle while preparing to loot a petrol pump at Subhanpur road near kapurthala .
SSP Navneet singh Bains in a release said that on a tip off the police arrested Navjot Sijgh @ Manni , Ravi pal singh @ Ravi , Karan Lahori @ , Sameer @ sheru all residents of Mushakved under the police station kotwali kapurthala and Sandeep singh of Dheerpur village under police station Kartarpur when they were planning to loot the petrol pump .
SSP also said that a police party led by ASI sham singh made a raid at kanjli and arrested them.
The police seized 2 pistols of 7.65 MM, 5 live , One revolver 32 bore and a vehicle .
Police registered a criminal case under section 399 and 402 IPC
during preliminary investigation it was revealed that Vijay kumar R/O Bheekha Nangal under PS Kartarpur have supplied them the arms and ammunition who also led the Gang .
He was facing cases under arms act at PS Shambhu in district palatial in which 13 pistols were seized from his custody .
