Ludhiana, September 1

Punjab PCS officers have also started to raise their voice for their demands pending sicne long. They have submitted a memorandum to the CS Punjab with copy to CM Punjab.

The full text of the Memorandum is as under:

PCS Officers’ Association expresses concern on the continuing failure of the government in implementing the long pending demands of the PCS cadre which were either accepted in principle as stated by the Worthy Chief Secretary, Punjab before the Hon’ble CM in a meeting with the Association in Jan 23 or on which written orders were issued by the Hon’ble CM, Punjab.

PCS officers’ association is deeply concerned with the fact that all young officers of Punjab have been denied entry into Group A services in a move to implement recommendations of Pay Commission in the recent past. This is not only detrimental to the officers who would never be able to join various posts on deputation in various departments of Govt. of India but this stance is also contrary to the agenda of present Punjab Govt. which vowed to reverse the trend of emigration and retain the best talent in the state of Punjab. The mischievous reduction of all Class A officers to Class B during the previous government is a reflection of the colonial mindset of the top echelons of the govt. and is a direct attack on the future of the youth of the state who have been degraded to a subservient position in their own states at the hands of those who are openly hostile to Punjab, its values, its culture and to its sons and daughters. This needs an immediate attention of Hon’ble CM Punjab whose govt has earnestly been striving and promoting the concept of ‘Rangla Punjab’.
