Param Pal Kaur Sidhu a former IAS officer, who recently quit the job voluntarily to join active politics, reached her home city Bathinda today. She got a rousing welcome from BJP office bearers and workers, when she reached the BJP office in the city.
Elaborate security arrangements were made by the district administration to prevent any untoward incident as some farmer unions have announced protests against the BJP leaders. Two SP level officers, Ajay Gandhi IPS and Narinder Pal Singh PPS were monitoring the arrangements. SSP Bathinda Deepak Pareek himself was monitoring and keeping close tab on the situation, while camping in Talwandi Sabo Damdama Sahib.
Huge enthusiasm and zeal was observed, though few old leaders were absent and kept themselves away from the welcome function. Over all, it was a good show and Param Pal Sidhu along with her husband Gurpreet Singh Maluka received warm welcome. Sarup Singla President of Bathinda BJP unit was in forefront along with his supporters.
Later on Param Pal visited other religious places in city to seek blessings.
