Pak based Foundation celebrates 115th birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh

Ferozepur, September 28

Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation (BSMF), Lahore celebrated 115th birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh at the democratic lawn of the Lahore High Court, in the premiership of the former Provincial Minister, Khan Aman Ullah where Peer Kaleem Ahmad former President Supreme Court Bar Association was invited as Chief Guest. A cake cutting ceremony was also performed followed by a tea-party.

Those who paid floral tributes to Bhagat Singh were – Raja Zulkernain Haider Advocate, Supreme Court, Rana Abdul Majeed , Shahbaz Rashid Qureshi Advocate, Muhammad Waheed Qureshi Advocate, Khawaja Azher Majeed, Rana Shahid, Rabia Shahzad Chairperson Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation, Aziz Sheikh ( Senior Journalist) Dr Shahid Naseer ( Human Rights Activist) ,  Madam Nausheen and others, said Imtiaz Rasheed Qureshi, Chairman, BSMF.

Speaking on the occasion, Qureshi said, Bhagat Singh was a freedom fighter and he was born in the land of Pakistan. Qaid -e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah while addressing his speeches on 4th and 9th September 1929 at the central assembly Dehli also paid tribute to the martyr Bhagat Singh in the following words that ‘Bhagat Singh like valour , bravest and courageous person will never born again at the soil of the sub-continent ‘.

Qureshi further said that all the present at the event appealed to the Prime Minister Narindera Modi to announce the martyr Bhagat Singh with the highest civil award of India ‘Bharat Ratna’ due to his excellency and bravery and also requested Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan to grant him civil award of ‘Nishan- e-Pakistan in the honour of his sacrifices made to the subcontinent.
