Nuh Police nabs 30 cyber criminals in two days, 50 mobile phones and 90 fake SIMs recovered

In a major crackdown against rampant cybercrime in Mewat region, the Nuh police led by SP Narender Bijarnia has nabbed 30 cyber criminals in two days.

The police got the entire force to conduct raids in around 20 villages and nabbed the accused they managed to trace through the Pratibimb app. The police have, in addition to arrests, recovered 50 mobile phones and 90 fake SIM cards from them.

 

All accused have been booked by the local cyber-crime police station and are wanted for frauds across the country involving purchasing goods online based on fake documents, fake social media profiles, fake bank accounts, sextortion, giving tempting ads for purchasing animals, advertising of Nataraj pencil, etc. Mewat region spanning across Haryana, Rajasthan is popularly known as Jamtara of North.

Inspector Vimal Rai in-charge of cyber-crime police station Nuh said, “The Pratibimb app helps not just to mark the number used in cyber-crime but also trace the user and number of cases he is involved in. A special campaign was conducted on Saturday and Sunday which involved the entire force. We are verifying the crime records of the accused and soon will be getting in touch with concerned state police where they have carried out frauds. Many accused have numerous frauds to their credit.”
