Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur Rajesh Dhiman informed that the living standards of Scheduled Castes , Backward Classes and Minorities have been raised, under the leadership of Dr. Baljit Kaur, Minister of Scheduled Castes , Backward Classes and Minorities Department, under the Ashirwad Scheme, and Rs.3,14,65000 has been given to the beneficiaries of district Ferozepur.
DC said that from April 2022 to December 2022 , this amount has been paid to 617 beneficiaries of the district in their personal bank accounts through online mode.
District Social Justice and Empowerment Officer Ferozepur Gurmeet Singh Brar said that the Punjab Government has started the facility of applying on the online portal to ease the application process for Ashirwad Scheme, under which Application can be filled online at http://ashirwad.punjab.gov.in . He said that the beneficiaries who want to take advantage of the scheme from1 April 2023 on the online portal launched by the Punjab government, can apply at home along with all the necessary documents along with the application form. Beneficiaries can apply online one month before or one month after the marriage date of their daughter.
