MRS-PTU in collaboration with PSCST organises 3-day residential Capacity Building Workshop

Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRS-PTU) in collaboration with Punjab State Council for science & Technology (PSCST) organised 3-day residential Capacity Building Workshop on “Activity Based Chemistry Teaching Using Low-cost Teaching Aids” at the Campus.

The workshop was sponsored by PSCST & Vigyan Prasar, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. As many as 33 chemistry teachers from various districts of Punjab participated in the workshop.

MRS-PTU, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu urged all participant teachers to give their best in shaping the future of students. He emphasized on the need of innovative teaching methodology to transform knowledge in to wisdom.

PSCST Joint Director, Dr. K.S. Bath highlighted the purpose of this capacity building workshop and reiterated the commitment of Punjab State Council for Science & Technology towards dissemination of innovative low-cost practices in teaching and popularization of science by reaching to masses.

Convener of the workshop and Dean Reserch and & Development Prof. Ashish Baldi thanked PSCST for such an initiative and extended MRS-PTU facilities specially BCL-AILTE Idea lab to all school students and teachers.

Dr. Ashaq Hussain and Dr. Madhu from Jammu & Kashmir and scientist, PSCST Dr. Mandakini also graced the occasion and shared valuable information. Co-ordinator, Dr. Seema Sharma welcomed all participants and Resource persons. Campus Director, Prof. Sanjiv Aggarwal and the senior faculty of the department were also present.
