Ludhiana, August 21
Meghdoot Sahityak Sanstha, Ludhiana on its first anniversary organised an event namely Megh-Malhar in the premises of Punjabi Sahitya Akademi, Ludhiana on Sunday. The event was a final phase of writing competition Kavya Manthan.
A large number of writers from different states of the country were present. All the poets presented their literary work on the stage.
President of the organisation Ramesh Vinodi talked about the journey from the idea of the programme to its actualisation. The program was presided over by Babu Lal Sankhla, Jorhat Assam. On this occasion, the members of the jury, poet Rajeshwar Vashishth, Mahesh Sharman and Mahesh Bisoria, also observed all the presentations and selected the best gem among the 14 gems selected under the written competition.
The programme was conducted by Reena Dhiman and Abrar Ansari. Ram Kishore, Karuna Athaiya and Sumedha Sisodia from the organising committee were also present in the programme.
The program was started by lighting the lamp with Saraswati Vandana. After that, shawls and souvenirs were presented to the Gurujans who were present in the decisive form.
All the participants of kavya manthan pratiyogita were awarded by the organisation. Also, on this occasion, the organisation released the book ‘Kavya Manthan’ published on the best creative works of all the participants.
Pushkar Tarai’s book ‘Waqt Ka Pahiya’ , Ram Kishor’s ‘Alfazon ka Marham’ and Reena Dhiman’s ‘Pathikon ki Parchhaiyan’ were also released.
The success of the programme lies in the fact that all the guests along with others continued to enjoy the event till late evening.
