Mann Government reaches out to the people to take stock of the difficulties being faced due to continuous heavy rains

The Mann Government is fully prepared to deal with the flood-like situation arising out of the heavy rains lashing the State for the last two days. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann tweeted that he has ordered officers and MLAs-ministers of all districts of Punjab to visit sensitive areas to take stock of the situation and take appropriate measures to deal with the situation. The Aam Aadmi Party issued a press statement from the main party office in Chandigarh saying that the Mann government is fully prepared to deal with the situation created by the incessant rains in Punjab. All Ministers-MLAs and workers of the Aam Aadmi Party are with the government to help the people in this hour of need. Following the orders of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, along with the entire government machinery and flood control units’ close watch on the situation, AAP MLAs and ministers are taking stock of the situation. Cabinet Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer tweeted that his team is constantly monitoring the situation in the Ghaggar river near Khanauri.On the other hand, Cabinet Minister Dr. Balbir Singh and Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni visited both the canals in Patiala during heavy rains and assured the people that the district administration is fully alert. The situation is under control.  All necessary steps are being taken by the administration. As a precautionary measure, those whose houses are close to the canal have been asked to move to safer places. Safe places have already been identified by the district administration. AAP MLA Dinesh Chadha has started langar service to help the needy in Ropar.  While cabinet minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa is visiting the area along with the officials of Hoshiarpur and Adampur assembly constituencies. Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO reached among the people of Jandiala. Minister Anmol Gagan Mann, MLA from Ferozepur Rural Rajneesh Dahiya, MLA Ashok Pappi, MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa all visited different areas of their respective constituencies and assured people amidst heavy rainfall.Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal and Cabinet Minister Balkar Singh were also active on Sunday, taking stock of the situation and helping people.
