Ludhiana DC inspects upcoming Aam Aadmi Clinics

Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik on Saturday inspected the progress of upcoming Aam Aadmi Clinics (AACs) in the various areas of the district.

Accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Amit Kumar Panchal, Malik visited Ladhowal, Hambran, Mullanpur, Bhanohar, Mansuran, Dashmesh Nagar, Shimlapuri and Model Town localities where the new Aam Aadmi Clinics are coming up. She instructed the officials that there must be no deficiency in the standard of work in the clinics. She also visited various rooms and enquired about the required medical equipment, availability of medicines etc.

She said that in Ludhiana, 37 AACs will be dedicated to the people of Ludhiana on January 27.

Expressing satisfaction over the ongoing work, Malik said that ADCs were deputed as nodal officers to review preparedness of these clinics daily to ensure timely completion of all formalities in the buildings. She said that Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was committed to provide best healthcare facilities to the people free of cost at their doorsteps and these new clinics will prove instrumental in making healthy Punjab.

Deputy Commissioner said that nine AACs were already operating in Ludhiana and these have been effectively providing health services to the people besides reduced the burden on the hospitals.
