A minor girl aged 9 year was raped by the landlord by luring her rupees 20 in his house at village Begowal on October 30 according to a delayed report reaching here today.
Police has registered a case of rape under section 376IPC, section 4,6 of POCSO act and the accused identified as Baldev Singh is still at large after the crime according to police.
According to FIR lodged with the police on the complaint of mother of the victim, the complainant stated that She along with her husband and son had gone to a medical store to bring medicines on Oct.30.
On reaching home she found her minor daughter crying and told her woeful tale that accused called to his room in the upper storey and gave rupees 20 and raped her.On crying he fled away from the spot.
The complainant said that her family was living on a rent for the past 4 years in the house of the accused.
Investigating officer Amandeep Kaur told PTI that police teams have been despatched to arrest the rapist who fled away after the crime .
