Kushti Dangal (wrestling competition) and Kabaddi Cup are a rich heritage of state and display our Punjabi culture, which also play an key role in keeping our youth away from drugs and engaging them with sports. These words were expressed by Lokpal Punjab Justice Vinod K. Sharma while attending the Kabaddi Cup and Kushti Dangal as the chief guest at Oind village in Morinda.
Appreciating the efforts being made to connect the youth with games Lokpal Punjab Justice Vinod K. Sharma that youth should make sports an integral part of their lives to lead a good life. For the creation of healthy society, it is necessary that society to be physically and mentally healthy by adopting exercise in routine life.
This event was organised with the support of Nehru Yuva Kendra Ropar, Youth Welfare Club, Gram Panchayat and residents which dedicated to the memory of Shri Guga Jahar Peer Ji. In these sports competitions, a prize of one lakh rupees was given for flag wrestling and a buffalo was given to the winning wrestler.
On this occasion, Secretary Lokpal Punjab Harbans Singh SDM Morinda Dipankar Garg, DSP Morinda Manjit Singh Aulakh, Tehsildar Morinda Maninder Singh Sidhu, Advocate Anmol Maan, Advocate Prince Maan, SHO Sadar Morinda Simranjit Singh, Youth Welfare Club President Kuldeep Singh, Nambardar Bahadar Singh, Jaskaran Singh and other dignitaries were present.
