Jalandhar, April 6

The Aam Aadmi Party is campaigning for Jalandhar by-election in full swing. On Wednesday, Home guard welfare association (retd.) Punjab, handed over a memorandum to AAP Punjab general secretary Harchand Singh Barsat and extended their support to the party ahead of the by-poll.

Addressing the gathering here, Mandi Board Chairman Harchand Singh Barsat said that he himself has always stood by the employee unions and associations and he left his post and position from the Congress because leaders there were unwilling to do anything for the employees and retired pensioners. On this occasion he was accompanied by Jalandhar improvement trust Chairman Jagtar Singh Sanghera and Jalandhar unit’s vice president IS Banga.

He added that in the Aam Aadmi Party employment, employees and retired pensioners are our priority. The Mann government is continuously generating employment and has given government jobs to around thirty thousand youths. We regularised the services of temporary employees and decided to re-implement OPS (Old pension scheme).

He assured the members of the home guard welfare association that he supports their legitimate demands and will take up their matter in the government. State president of association, Gurdeep Singh said that they will support AAP candidate for Jalandhar seat so that the voice of common people and employees can reach parliament.

Harchand Barsat said that the party has fulfilled all its major guarantees so people know our sincerity towards Punjab and it’s people. He said, I know the people of Jalandhar will vote for the Aam Aadmi Party because people know only the AAP has pro-people policies and does the work of development.
