Haryana Police & Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau (HSNCB) announce innovative hackathon

The Haryana Police and the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau (HSNCB) announced an innovative hackathon to be held on Jan 14, 2024 in Panchkula and powered by Hack2skill.

This initiative aims to transform anti-drug and delinquency messages using the power of the metaverse and gaming to address the critical issue of youth substance abuse.

The primary objective of this one-of-a-kind hackathon is to revolutionise how society approaches anti-drug messages, especially for the youth of India. By leveraging the metaverse, blockchain, Web3, Gamification, etc. The initiative seeks to go beyond conventional awareness campaigns.

The goal is to craft immersive digital experiences that foster engagement, understanding, and awareness of the harmful effects of drug abuse and ultimately make a lasting impact on society.

DGP (HoPF), Haryana Police, Sh. Shatrujeet Kapur stated that this initiative aims to build a bridge that connects traditional values with the dynamic world of the youth. Through this hackathon, we anticipate innovative ideas that resonate with our core mission of maintaining law and order, promoting social responsibility, and ensuring public safety.

ADGP, Haryana, Sh. O P Singh encouraged the participants and said that at the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau, we value dynamic approaches to engage the younger generation.

This hackathon is not just another competition, it’s a stage to showcase creativity and technical skills, aiming for ideas that resonate with and guide the youth towards a safer, more aware, and responsible community.

The hackathon aims to create impactful solutions for a drug-free future by utilising technology to shape attitudes and behaviours among the youth.

Hack2skill is a leading innovation management platform, collaborating with Haryana Police and HSNCB to combat substance abuse through a groundbreaking initiative.

The hackathon is attracting enthusiastic students and teenagers from Haryana and Punjab, demonstrating their commitment to driving positive change and tackling substance abuse.
