Haryana Govt should issue white paper on job allocation based on departments: Kumari Selja

The General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee, former Union Minister, former State Congress Committee President of Haryana, and in-charge of Uttarakhand, Kumari Selja, said that while on one hand, unemployment is breaking all records in Haryana, on the other hand, the government is showing so much leniency towards candidates from other states that it is granting them the right to apply without domicile.

She criticized the government for infringing upon the rights of the unemployed in the state while hiding the identity of candidates from other states seeking employment.

Selja said that the government should issue a white paper to reveal how many candidates from other states have been employed in each department and on which positions.

In a statement released to the media, Kumari Selja said that while the government claims to provide jobs without any expenses and transparency, corruption in jobs, repeated paper leaks, and controversies surrounding its arbitrary decisions are putting the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) back in the spotlight.

She expressed concern that the recent recruitment in Haryana Civil Services (Judicial Service) is favoring candidates from other states. Selja said that the unemployment rate in Haryana is higher than in other states, and the government’s new order allowing candidates from other states to apply with a self-attested domicile will further harm the youth of Haryana.

She said that the government for failing to fulfill its promise of providing jobs to 75% local youth in the private sector, leading to a court case. Selja asserted that the unemployed in the state will not forgive the government for its false promises and vowed that change will come when the time is right. She also said that the alleged discrimination and nepotism in the recruitment process through Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC).

Despite the government’s claim of providing jobs without any expenses, there are active agents facilitating jobs in every district.

She said that the government wants to provide jobs to youth from other states under pressure from the central government.Selja said that the government should prioritize the youth of Haryana and criticized the policies of the BJP-JJP alliance government.

She said that the people are suffering due to the government’s wrong policies, and this is why public sentiment is turning against the BJP in the future.
