Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau nabs private person taking Rs 20,000 bribe

Chandigarh, May 12

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Haryana during its ongoing campaign against corruption, has caught a private person red-handed for taking Rs 20,000 bribe in lieu of providing a job to the complainant in Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar.

 

In this case, the ACB has nabbed private person Satya Narayan, a resident of village Rawalwas Khurd, Hisar while accepting a bribe.

 

Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the ACB said that action has been taken against the accused on the complaint of Mandeep, a resident of village Bayana Khera.

 

Giving further details, he added that the complainant has approached the Bureau and alleged that the accused person had demanded Rs 1,20,000 in lieu of appointing him to the post of peon in CCSHAU Hisar. He also alleged that accused introduced himself that he is working as Clerk in the SDM office, Hisar.

 

The spokesperson informed that after verifying the complaint, a team of ACB has laid a trap in which the accused Satya Narayan has been arrested while taking Rs 20,000 as a bribe from the complainant in the presence of two independent witnesses.

 

In this regard, a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against the accused at ACB police station Hisar. Further investigation, in this case, was under progress.
